Dallas move/ Music

So I moved away from the lil d and up to the Big D. For those of you not hip to the DFW lingo, that's Denton to Dallas.

Anyway, I have a lot of time on my hands so I figured I'd do another music post. Haven't done one of these in quite a while.

- "Slowly Boiling," one of Eli's songs that I added some instrumentation to. Pardon the noob drumming.

(download)

- "Caved In" an old song of mine that I added another section to a while back and never uploaded anywhere.

(download)

- "Ship Me Out" an oldie but goodie. Now with flutes. Vocals eventually.

Considering I have little social life to speak of right now, I'll probably be posting again very soon. One can only stalk job postings for so long.

I CAVED IN

So I haven't posted on here in a while.  Figured I'd give the world a little preview of my recent, solitary musical happenings and let the 3 people who actually read this know about some upcoming events.

First: check out my other band The Orange tomorrow night (Friday, December 3) at Ghostbar.  It's on the top floor of the W Hotel, free to get in (21+ only) and we managed to get a bad ace suite in the W thanks to Nick Metzger so there's definitely going to be a rowdy after party.
- This is gonna be a ton of fun, and a good excuse to go check out Ghost Bar if you've never been there.  To all you Denton peeps: as much as we all love these creaking, smokey bars... it's pretty cool to check out another scene.  Dress sharp and let's get sloppy.

Next: If you like the kinds of things you hear on this blog, come to Dan's Silverleaf on December 16th and watch me and Alien Brew get our jam on for the first time ever in Denton, TX (Unless you count a random, hour's notice jam on the roof of Cool Beans.)
- This is a pretty big deal for me, not gonna lie.  I've played in a bunch of different bands but Alien Brew is like this ongoing, ever-changing entity where I cannel my musical being.  That's some metaphysical shit for ya right there.

Well, there ya have it.  Hope you attend at least one of these events.  If not, there are surely more to come soon.

Another semi-annual jam.  Give this one a minute to soak in; you'll be glad
you did.

Featuring:
Wade Griffin on drums,
Eli Hartley on acoustic guitar,
& Michael Scroggins on electric guitar.

Recorded extremely professionally with the built-on macbook mic.
